We’re going to trade the wooden garage I got for my birthday for a plastic noisy one with wider ramps and sound effects..

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008Mylo And Me
Tuesday, February 26th, 2008We went through to Edinburgh while we were up at Grandma’s, and I saw my cousin Mylo. He’s around six months younger than me, and I think everyone was a bit worried we wouldn’t get on, but we did and we played nicely and didn’t degenerate into one of those MINE MINE MINE frenzies. Hardly ever. We played up in Auntie Jane’s mezzanine bit, and I showed Mylo how to come down the stairs forwards.
This is a picture of all of us from Mylo’s website:
Not for grown up boys like me
Saturday, February 16th, 2008The iPOOD babygro – love that “creased and stained” page background.. Dad was scrubbing imaginary jam stains off the MacBook screen for ages until he realised it’s the image (mind you, there was jam on the screen, and snot..)
Turn it up loud
Wednesday, February 13th, 2008I’ve kindof realised now that Roary isn’t another name for car, it’s the name of a car. Oops!
This is the Roary theme song on YouTube:
Birthday Boy
Sunday, February 10th, 2008You could have knocked me down with a feather this morning when I came downstairs to find my birthday presents! Me! Really? You shouldn’t have. Me? Really..? I had absolutely no idea that today was my birthday. Even now, I’m not sure what it’s about to be honest but one of my presents was the Roary the Racing Car Silver Hatch racetrack which is fast and noisy and I love it (Daisy chose it for me, bless her.)

(Roary is a cartoon character you probably haven’t seen – he is on Nick Jr (which we’re watching again now we’re not allowed our Power Ranger marathons). He’s a racing car, but Roary’s charm is that he isn’t the fastest or the flashiest car and doesn’t usually win the race. The racetrack features recordings from Big Chris, Roary’s friend and mentor: it’s nice having a bit of Peter Kaye on your floor.)
We went to Drusillas today with George and Oliver and had a great time, mum made me a Roary cake which was yummy for cake (I’m not a fan of cakes generally, prefer bis-kit)
Falling short
Friday, February 8th, 2008This morning I proudly stood and addressed the toilet in Mum and Dad’s bathroom, weeing and metaphorically humming, looking to neither left nor right.. Unfortunately I’m not tall enough!
Stones and pounds
Friday, February 8th, 2008We weighed ourselves on the new scales (we broke the old ones jumping on them) and Daisy weighs three stone two (around twenty kilograms), and I weigh two stone two, about thirteen and a half kilos. Mind you, although the scales are undoubtedly accurate, they do take their own sweet time in coming up with a readout, by which time I’ve usually been off and on and off again, or if Daisy’s on them I try to get on as well.
