Being Twelve While Two

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Spiderman 3 is my current fave film du jour, maybe I overwatched WALL-E.. I have to pretend to be 12 to watch it though, just like Daisy has to pretend to be 12 to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean II which we got dirt cheap from Asda (Mum likes Johnny Depp!). Mind you, Toy Story (and Toy Story 2) are both ‘PG’ rated, which goes to show the whole rating thing is flawed as they are wonderfully uplifting and utterly lacking in moral turpitude (except Sid, of course) although some people complain about it’s “grotesque toy abuse” and “character taking off its lips to kiss its own backside to express opinion of another”. Hmm, must have missed that bit, despite watching Toy Story 1 and/or 2 nearly every day in the summer. Shrek is a U, and the same people loved that despite the ‘flatulence’ in it, despite the fact it has far more overt violence than Toy Story. Oh well – I put on my red sunglasses (my old Red Power Ranger kit) and my Spiderman t-shirt and HAI-YA! Watch out for my chops..

There’s an idea..

I hear there was a bit in the paper today about dealing with us toddlers. Apparently this is funny?

My daughter will only let the cat brush her teeth, so I have to hold a struggling cat under one arm while trying to brush them, but making it look like the cat was doing it.

I got a new WALL-E toothbrush the other day, the trouble is I was so thrilled with it I couldn’t leave it in the bathroom because I wanted to play with it and now we can’t find it. Still, as my idea of brushing my teeth still essentially means sucking the toothpaste off the brush, it doesn’t really matter if I just carry on using Dad’s brush with it’s buzz button..

Pocoyo Racing

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

I love playing Mario Kart Wii – I play as Donkey Kong – but for some reason I call it ‘Pocoyo Racing’ (Pocoyo is a cartoon which is voiced by Stephen Fry in English, but it’s been a while – maybe half a year – since I saw it, so I’m not sure that’s the connection, especially as they’re quite different. Who knows??) Daisy was playing Super Mario 64 tonight, I was supposed to get a turn but I think I missed out. Looks a bit tricky to me, anyway..

New President Eyesenhair

My hair is growing through brown, like Dad’s: my eyes are still bright blue but Daisy’s have darkened a little.

Waste Not Watch Not

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Me and Daisy bought Dad WALL-E for Christmas. We all watched it on Wednesday evening before we went out for New Year’s Eve, and then I watched it (on and off) another five times on New Year’s Day, which we spent at home in our pyjamas, and I’ve watched it today and I expect I will watch it tomorrow morning!
